Uncontrollable Desires

Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
Desires can ruin and also make a man; the question here is, what are your desires? Is it to build your spirit man or to satisfy the flesh? Having uncontrollable desires for the things of the flesh will only restrain you from fulfilling your destiny in Christ Jesus. Whatever you cannot control will control you. For instance, if your uncontrollable desire is to please the Lord, it simply means God will be in charge of your affairs.

1 Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
You cannot satisfy the flesh and the spirit the same time; you have to let one govern the other. Romans 8:7 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”

Whatsoever you focus your energy on, that is what you will get Galatians 6: 8 “8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

Galatians 5:17 “For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.”
What are uncontrollable desires of the flesh?
Whatever you do that does not glorify God in your life are desires of the flesh. Lust for the flesh includes immorality, covetousness, anger, envy, jealousy, etc. they are deadly, and it will lead you nowhere.

Three lies about uncontrollable desires of the flesh
Most Christians are kept in bondage because they allow their lives to be ruled by the lies of the devil.

1. It is normal
Christians have given up, and they’ve decided to live with these uncontrollable desires because the society has tagged it as “normal.” “The lie” is to make you a prisoner to the flesh; you are meant to rule over the flesh and not the other way round.

2. You cannot live without it
Once again, this belief system is to keep you from setting yourself free from all sins of the flesh. You are not of this world even though you are in this world. You are Heaven’s ambassador; whatever affects the world will not harm you.

3. It is who you are; you cannot change it
This is not you! You are above whatever desires you have right now. 1 Peter 2:9 “9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

The above scripture shows your real self in Christ! Even the devil knows it, and that is the reason he is trying so hard to subject you to the flesh.

1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”

In the first part of this topic, we realized that allowing the flesh to rule over us will limit our glorious destinies.

What are the steps to control our desires?
The only game the devil knows how to play well is the mind-game; if he can influence your mindset, then he can influence your life. We give too much credit to the devil; not all bad things happen because of him. No, he is not that powerful. The reason we feel he is superior is that we gave him the power in the first place. Uncontrolled desires are 100% you and not the devil.

1. Change the name
Uncontrollable desires will remain “uncontrollable” because we gave it a name “uncontrollable.”
God has given us His creative power; whatever will name a thing or situation stands. Whatever we bind on earth shall be bind in heaven, and whatever we loose here will be loosed in heaven. (Mathew 18:18). Same rules apply to our habits- we can only control our desires if we see it as controllable desires instead of uncontrollable desires.
Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam, there was not found a help meet for him.” Whatever name Adam called the animals that became the name forever. Change how you habits or desires you do not want in your life.

2. Embrace the gift of redemption

2 Corinthians 2:15
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
One way to defeat the urge of our ungodly desire is to resist it by the Word of God, “I am a changed man, I am not the person you used to know” God has redeemed you from the law, I am no longer subjected to the flesh (Galatians 3:13. For whosoever is born of the Spirit is a spirit. Therefore, these desires can no longer rule over your life! Praise God!

3. Be God-conscious
Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Get to know God, study His word, listen to Anointed ministers of the gospel, read anointed books that will feed your spirit-man.

Joshua 1:8
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Meditate on the Word of God and watch how easy it is to put the flesh where it belongs.
Everything is yours, but you need to do the needful. Matthew 6:8 “Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” Your Father knows what you need in life;

He knows you more than anyone.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Seek His presence, He wants to help you, but He cannot interfere in your issues until you ask Him to. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you will be surprised how things will turn out.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF:
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:24

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20

We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Romans 6:6

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

I Do, Worship You

I Do, Worship You For Your Goodness And Your Mercy

Isaiah 25:1
“O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”
There is something powerful and ethereal about worship that unbelievers and some believers do not understand. You hear questions like “what is going on or why do we have to worship God? They don’t just get it. First of all, it is difficult, impossible even to worship God if you do not know Him or you do not remember where and what you’ve been through.

People who feel entitled do not see reasons why we should worship God. After all, it is normal to wake up every morning, walk to the office by yourself without any aid; it is normal to feel hungry and get food. The truth is, not everyone is that fortunate. The reason you can do all these without taking medications or asking someone for help is because of God’s grace upon your life.

Why do we worship God?
We worship God for who He is: we serve a living God, He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He alone is God, isn’t it wonderful that we are privileged to have a Glorious Father?
2 Samuel 7:22 “Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.”
For what He has done: our God is a good God, He has dealt with us wondrously, the reason we are here today is because of Him. He owes us nothing, but we owe Him everything.
It hurts to hear Christians say “nothing is working my life, I don’t need to thank or worship Him,” others will say “I lost my job, I lost my house.” Let’s take a look at what you just said; “Nothing is working in my life” that’s false; your eyes, nose, mouth, heart, kidney, etc. are working aren’t they? If you lost something, He is the reason you’ve not lost everything! He is forever faithful even in our shortcomings. Anyone who is among the living has hope –even a live dog is better off than a dead lion! Ecclesiastes 9:4

Psalm 138:2-3
“2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

What happens when we worship God?

A lot of things happen when we worship God from the depth of our hearts;
When we pray, God sends His angels to bring answers, but when we praise or worship Him, He comes down to rescue us. When God takes over your battle, who is the devil that can stand God’s presence? Acts 16: 26
Worship is the key to God’s presence: Psalms 100: 1-2 the way to enter God’s presence is not by murmuring or complaining but, by the genuine worship of God. Psalms 100:2

Every wall of Jericho in our lives are destroyed- Joshua 6:20 “So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city; worship is a powerful tool to live a triumphant life
Why won’t I worship God? He daily loaded us with benefits; that means, there are gifts with my name and your name written on it every day.

Psalm 68:19
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
As you continue to worship Him in Spirit and Truth, may your eyes be opened to see how wondrously, He has been helping you. Whenever people ask you if you worship Him, just smile and answer “I do, worship the Lord.”

When You Don’t Feel Like Praying

When You Don’t Feel Like Praying To God

Praying is the process of communicating with our Father; the process of discussing, interceding, or simply adoring His presence. The keyword I want you to get there is communication. So let’s rephrase the topic once more; when you don’t feel like communicating with God.

Matthew 6:9-13
9 After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Our Father seeks to fellowship with us every day, but we get so busy with the daily activities that we forget to pray. Sometimes we also get overwhelmed with what life throws at us that we forget there is a God who cares. A wise man once said, if there is a mouth to pray, there is a God to answer. When you do not feel like praying, that should be the best time to pray!

Why we don’t feel like praying
One of the major reasons we don’t feel like praying is because we are drifting away from God’s presence; this leads to the inability to come before Him and talk things out. The moment you notice you do not feel like praying that is the moment you call on the Holy Spirit for help.

Romans 8:26-27 “26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

How to pray an effective prayer
The reason it seems as if there is no answer forthcoming is that we do not pray the right way. What most Christians call prayer is complains, murmur and ingratitude. The Lord Jesus showed us the pattern of how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13

Step one: Acknowledge who God is (Our Father), worship Him for who He is (Hallowed be thy name). We can’t just come into His presence with complaints and a heavy heart. Psalm 100: 4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

Step two: pray for the Kingdom (Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven) pray for souls to be saved. Pray for the unsaved souls, intercedes for your neighbor who has not encounter Christ. It is not all about me, myself and I.

Step three: you can ask for whatever you desire (Give us this day our daily bread) Matthew 7:7

Step four: Ask for mercy (Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors) “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not.” Lamentations 3:22

Step five: Ask for direction, He sees the end from the beginning, He knows what you need. He is your Anchor, the best director. (Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil)

Step Six: End your prayer with thanksgiving (For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Remember prayer is communication; it’s a conversation between two or more persons. You can just talk and then rush out. Learn to listen to God; He is always communicating with us, but we are too busy to hear Him.
As you begin to pray in line with the Word of God, may the good Lord continue to direct, guide, and teach you. Amen.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF:Remember the devil doesn’t want you to pray. When you read your bible, fast and pray it will make all the difference in your life. Along with living a holy and sanctified life. God will hear your prayers, and will answer them. Trust in God and hold strong to Gods unchanging hand.

THE THINGS WOMEN DO THAT DRIVE MEN TO COMMIT ADULTERY; THAT THEY DON’T KNOW THEY’RE DOING

Infidelity has been a major issue amongst married couples and most times adultery is as a result of actions and inactions that could be intentional or unintentional. It is pertinent to state that most cases adultery is from the male gender. A research conducted on a certain population of married couples have proven that adultery is always something that happens as a result of the excesses or shortcomings of one or both parties in the marriage.

However, the aim of this article is to elaborate the things women do that drive men to commit adultery that they might not be aware of. One of the numerous things that women do that drive men to commit adultery is the diversion of all the attention, care affection and love to the children after some years of marriage. Men generally are beings that crave special attention and care especially from someone they are emotionally attached to, and in a very good case someone they are married to, most women unconsciously take all the attention and affection they were supplying constantly to their man once the children start coming. Not all men will have the impetus to approach their spouse on this kind of issue as it appears to carry a lot of sensitivity because of the children involved. Some women are unapologetically insensitive to when their men give attitudes or even send body languages based on the lack of attention they are made to endure. As a result of this lack of attention, some men engage in extramarital affairs which can be generally tagged under the term ADULTERY.

Another thing that women do which drive men to cheat is that some women consciously or unconsciously compare their men to other men which are damaging to the self-esteem and self-confidence. Some men handle comparison with levity while others handle it with seriousness. Either way, the comparison goes a long way in pushing men to commit adultery because they feel underappreciated when they are being compared to other men who probably are flawless in the aspects where they might appear to be flawed. Also, women drive their men to commit adultery by making unnecessary, throwing unrequired tantrums and depriving the man of his inner peace. Often times, men like to go where they are appreciated, celebrated and sincerely loved without any form of drama, frivolity, or excessiveness of any nature, which is a reason why some of them commit adultery when they do not get things that make them happy, fulfilled and gives them inner peace.

In conclusion, men are driven to commit adultery when the woman they are with is lazy and also incorrigible. Some Women also are deeply addicted to the act of misjudging and misinterpreting the actions and even the words of their men thus creating a severed connection which is likely to damage the bond any man and woman might have shared. This act of misjudging and misinterpreting basic issues could also drive a man to commit adultery.

If you disagree please give me your thoughts on this subject.

Is it just in men/women to cheat because they have no decency?

Do women really it makevit difficult for their husbands to be faithful?

They say black women are the toughest on their men, is that just an excuse?

Now it is my personal opinion that if you love and/or are committed, even if you and your spouse are not sexual, you will remain faithful.
