Behold Thou Art There

If I Ascend Up Into Heaven, Thou Art There: If I Make My Bed In Hell, Behold, Thou Art There. Psalm 139:8

God is not just called omniscience or omnipresent because names are free and we can call him what we want. He is actually the all knowing and all seeing God. No matter the time, place, distance or state that you are currently in. He sees and knows everything. Walking down the street, he is there, in the valley, he knows.

Psalm 139:8, being our focus on this topic is a call to remembrance that God is ever present in any situation we find ourselves. David used this bible verse to describe the powerful knowledge of God. When the going is tough or easy, God is there. It is also a call to have faith in God as he is capable of stepping into any circumstances. An assurance to live free knowing that God has got our back! God searches the deepest things of the world. His presence is unquestionable. He knows the little thoughts in our heart. When we get to our green pastures and when we wallow in our downcast, His knowledge encompasses all.

In the knowledge of this, one should, before taking any action, think about the outcome. Is it Good or bad? Is our ways, attitude, lifestyle worth emulating? If when replayed, will it be wonderful or rather sorrowful sight to behold? Let’s not allow ourselves be deceived by the mindset that we can shy or hide away from our evil ways. The same God that picks the humble from the grass to be favoured, spots an evil eye in the crowd.

In your days of adversity and small beginnings, God sees, God knows.

If you can make your way to the heavens or maybe you can dare the heat of fire and brimstone, on your arrival, say it to the fearful man, say it to the woman who is merry in her evil ways, say it to the child whose innocence he wants to abuse, say it to the scientist who doubts in his ignorance, that God knows it all. It is not a contest, neither is it a topic to be proved by man-made methods, it is the truth. There is a need to reverence God in every aspect of our lives. Trusting in his power to help us live a life that is pleasing in his sight since he sees it all.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had their taste. Daniel was a testimony. What about Ananias and Saphira? We still live to tell the tale of the Holy Scriptures, just as David wrote. How else can one say God is not God? How will you live your life after this? From the womb he formed you, he made you and of course, he knew you.

Encourage yourself in the Lord: If there is a word on your tongue that God doesn’t know, or an action in the dark he doesn’t, or a success he hasn’t approved of, then he is not God.

The above sentence is solely for your encouragement to believe in God’s word, and trust Him whole heartedly. You Must Believe!

According to Numbers 23:19-20 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

How To Unveil Your Total Health In Christ

This teaching is designed to show you from the Holy Scriptures what is written concerning your state of health. The word of God is the only valid report concerning your life.
3rd John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
The first thing I need you to understand about health is, it is God’s desire for you to be healthy; one of our redemptive rights as believers is to enjoy divine health.
Isaiah 25:6-8 “And in this mountain, shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.”
Be encouraged in the Lord by reading and believing His word. Knowing that if He says it, it will come to pass.

The above scripture is one of the promises of God to His children, death has been swallowed up in victory, and Jesus Christ took care of sicknesses and diseases thousand years ago on the cross. He said “it is finished” that means, your pulmonary hypertension is finished, cancer is finished, migraines are finished, and anything that makes you not true to enjoy the blessedness of salvation is finished. You can be encouraged knowing these things are true and are fulfilled through Christ. For Jesus Christ is our blessed Hope.

God has promised us long life, but we cannot enjoy longevity when we are not experiencing divine health. Therefore, supernatural health is your sure ticket for long life. Matthew 8:17, Jesus Christ has fulfilled the scripture “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

If then Jesus Christ has redeemed us from pain, sickness, and disease why are Christians suffering?
There is an innate desire for every man to live in health, but the devil has come to steal, kill and destroy.

Who is the reason behind sicknesses and diseases?
Job 2:7 “So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.”
John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The devil is the thief; he is here to steal every benefit accrued to believers including divine health. However, he will not succeed because our Lord Jesus Christ has come to give us life in abundance. Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

How to swim in health and cure
1. Recognized that Jesus is our great physician Matthew 9:12 “But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” Jesus is the only physician who admits the dead in His clinic because He has the power of life and death. Doctors treat by prescription, nurses care, pastors preach, but only God heals. This is where some Christians get it wrong; they focus their trust in man instead of the Source; if you tie your healing to man, you will remain sick.
2. Recognize that Jesus primarily heals by the word; the ultimate of every balm is God’s word. Psalms 107:20 “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Go for the word of God; seek the truth from the Word and activate it with Faith.
3. Recognize that the flesh and the blood of Jesus is the principal balm John 6:47-48 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life.” Verse 50 “This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 55-56 “For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”

Stop taking the Holy communion religiously; it does more than that; it is the key to divine health, all you have to do is believe John 1:12
Let’s take a closer look at the communion; what is in the communion?
 The communion empowers us to live like Christ. Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
 It empowers for total health, vitality and longevity: Matthew 26:28-29“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

Psalms 92:13-14 “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

What are the covenant pillars for long life?
 You must realize that your case is different: Exodus 12:12-13 “For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”
 You must be born-again: Psalms 91:1, 6 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” You have to dwell in the secret place to be exempted from the evils of this world.
 Bold declaration: Psalms 91:2 and 4 “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” The devil is not a gentleman; he doesn’t understand your tears, you have to be bold in taking what is rightfully yours. Speak the word of God boldly to the situation, and then he will flee. In verse 4 “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Psalms 23:4
 Divine wisdom: Proverbs 24:5 “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.”

Wisdom is the fear of God: Psalms 111:10. One of the most successful men in the Bible is Joseph; Joseph feared the Lord. Genesis 42:18. Wisdom enables us to live a healthy lifestyle. Discipline your appetite to eat right, to think positive, to exercise, and drink plenty of water, in order to nurture your body and soul.

Encourage Yourself: Note that Christianity does not equate careless living, endeavor to live a healthy lifestyle, do not leave common sense on “the altar of Faith” Wisdom is profitable to direct: Ecclesiastes 10:10. May God give you the understanding of this teaching in Jesus name Amen.

Family and It’s Unique Importance

Family as a support structure

The most valuable and important gift that can be given to a person is a family. This is where everything in life takes its course. The first lessons about loyalty, responsibility, relationship, security, etc., all start within the family. It is a group of people (whether related by blood or vice versa) living with a high sense of responsibility for one another and to know they can rely on each other at all times.

Family means an undying love through the good times and bad times. It’s where you can get the true meaning of love, a place to find support, encouragement, comfort, understanding, values, morals, faith, etc. Imagine a person who has all these amazing support structures and compare it to someone else who lacks all or most of it – it’s definitely not anyone would like to live without.

We can’t underestimate the important roles of a family and how it influences the outcome of every individual. As a child grows, he or she notices and imitaties the practices, culture, morals, and virtues that are demonstrated towards him/her or other family members. It is a child’s first practical lesson on relationships – call it the first school and you may be right! Consciously or subconsciously, the child learns to provide security, understand certain values and its essence, gains an identity irrespective of his/her age. The child sees how a family member deals with different issues and learns deeply from the kind of acceptance and support shown towards the affected family member and how issues are being managed. It helps the child gain a strong foundation, which creates a great sense of self-worth. Here, the family instills the elements that form the child’s moral code.

Being nurtured on basic values and principles, the child learns character which stands as a guiding force all through in life. This is where the foundation of a person’s thought pattern is formed. A good family can as well equal to a great personality. When good values are inculcated at a preliminary stage, it requires little efforts to nurture a child especially at the difficult stages where they see the outer world and have to find a balance between the norms and excesses in life.

Checking the statistics of people who have made a significant difference (with a character worthy of emulation) in their careers, you will note that the amount of those who emerged from a well-structured family (that emphasizes on morals and values) largely outweigh those who didn’t have the opportunity to emerge from such amazing families.
You may have awesome friends, colleagues at work or school but no one can love you more than your own. A parent’s love cannot be compared to a friend’s. Your family would accept you for who you are. It is where love and care begin, and continues even after death.

One thing I have always noticed is that; whatever the situation it is with anyone, whether they lose a parent, both, or their entire family – life has its way of repositioning them into a new family where they are accepted and loved if they can only accept the love and care like it would have been with their exact family.

Bonding Your Family
Knowing how important the role of a family is, we shouldn’t shy away from the fact that there will be issues at different points in time (between family members) which would require some fundamental approach to ensuring that the family maintains its bond in a good spirit. Marital and familial crises are on the high side these days, which makes it a challenging task to establish and maintain the family tie. These domestic affairs require some efficient measures graced with a commitment by every member of the family to see it work. Some useful tips to keep this bond include:

Every dysfunctional family has a poor communication problem between members of the family if you check it. Communication requires a speaking and a listening part, and until these two are richly achieved there wouldn’t be an ideal communication between both parties. The speaking aspect is where ideas and feelings are poured out while the listener is the receiver of both and heeding to the speaker. While speaking requires honesty, listening must also be done in faithfulness. It’s a duo of honesty and faithfulness, and both are instrumental to the achievement of cultivating a united and healthy family.

Proactive Understanding
It would be devastating for anyone to pour out their feelings and get a misconception in return. Having a concomitant feeling/reaction after a bilateral communication with the speaker is the first approach to getting issues solved. It entails a mutual respect and consideration from the listener. Having achieved this, a proactive understanding will foster companionship, share similarities, and greatly improve trust between both parties.

Engage Each Other With Responsibilities
Just like a sport’s team, a family can improve its bond significantly when other members of the family are engaged in working out the needs of the household by playing an individual role. Chores may be shared according to skill or what a family member is usually willing to handle.
For instance, the traditional kind of family would likely assign the cooking chores to the mother, provision to the father, hosting to the girls, mowing to the boys, etc. This way, everyone is seen to contribute his or her own quota to keep the family going. This may not be a workable solution for your own family but the basis is to share responsibilities wisely and equally among family members in order to foster a sense of responsibility, peace, and unity.

Having Fun Together
Recreations have a powerful way of instilling and improving the family tie. Every family member looks forward to a time where everyone goes on an outing to get some freshness again and feel the love in a unity-driven environment. Whether it is a vacation, going to the movies, or going out for a game, having fun together is an opportunity to help improve communication as well as strengthening the bond.

Conflicts are inevitable but before it degenerates into poor communication, inequality between members of the family, you can make good use of the tips shared above to overcome the conflicts and salvage your family from any form of decay.

Planning A Successful Family Event

Planning an event comes with a lot of ideas and strategies put together to ensure that the invites have a splendid time. However, a family event can be quite challenging even when compared to other events that are assumed to be larger and complex in nature. Maybe it has to be this way because it involves some emotional components and interpersonal dynamics.

Here are some tips to help you plan an amazing family event:
Understand the politics of planning
Most likely, there would be a broad range of interest as family members often have strong preferences and opinions which are freely expressed, unlike other regular event guests. This may delay decision making as menu planning, venue, and other features are debated.

To make this easier, identify the key players who would determine a big part of the event especially the funding aspect and run with their ideas.Accessibility
Unlike a regular event, choosing a venue for a family event requires a lot of consideration. There may be parents that would be coming with infants in the arm, elderly ones or family members with mobility challenges. If you would be using a multi-level venue, it must have a ramp or an elevator. Try everything possible to ensure that your guests wouldn’t be making use of the stairs to reach the venue.

Manage the Generation Gap
In such events, it isn’t awkward to have 3 – 5 generations coming together. Here you must be careful to put features that would interest everyone ensuring that nobody feels out-of-place. Unlike the regular events which have usually 2-3 generations coming together, you have to be cautious of dress codes, choice of music, and games. For music, it should feature genres ranging from traditional ethnic favorites, oldies, and hip-hop.

Bridge the cultural gap
A family is a wide union of people and even loved ones at that. Some family members may be resident in other countries so the menu must contain dishes for everyone. Food is a major attraction in such events and you wouldn’t want to leave anyone out.

Managing Alcohol
You don’t want such a graceful event to turn out sour you should watch out for this. At other events, you probably wouldn’t have any information about the drinking habit of your guests – but since it is a gathering of family members, you can adequately plan to take care of family members who have a drinking problem. You may choose to take-off alcoholic drinks totally or have a way of controlling what is being served.
As the party comes to an end, it would be nice to appreciate everyone letting them know how important they are as an integral part of the family. A souvenir to keep the memory as much as possible would also be a great idea.
