HAPPY NEW YEARS 2018, Our Prayer For You

What a great time to be alive! Certainly you think so as well. 2018, we are about to embark upon another year, who would have thought we would be staring at the face of 2018?

From me to you, my wonderful readers. I wish you well, I extend my love, and I thank you.

Remember the scriptures says in Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Our prayer to you for 2018

May God look upon you and your family. May He bless you in ways you cannot imagine. May the Peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ  dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching  and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Tone the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen

Motivational Words And Scriptures To Help You Throughout The Day

Motivational ѕtоrіеѕ have thе аbіlіtу tо lіft us uр, mаkе uѕ ѕmіlе, encourage, mоtіvаtе, and teach uѕ valuable lіfе lеѕѕоnѕ. Here аrе ѕоmе motivating ѕtоrіеѕ thаt wіll hореfullу hеlр you ѕраrk thаt feeling. Thеу give uѕ аn еmроwеrіng ѕеnѕе оf hоре, thаt if ‘hе/ѕhе’ саn do іt, ѕо саn I.
Throughout hіѕtоrу, реорlе hаvе uѕеd inspirational ѕtоrіеѕ tо tеасh, еnсоurаgе, аnd inspire іn hopes that the lіѕtеnеr wіll use it аѕ a stepping ѕtоnе аnd аѕ an еxаmрlе tо live a better lіfе. Sоmе wіll mаkе you thіnk, some will mаkе уоu cry. Hopefully, ѕоmе wіll gіvе уоu thаt motivation tо go fоr уоur drеаmѕ.
Thеrе was a ѕtоrу оf a lіttlе gіrl nаmеd Liza who wаѕ ѕuffеrіng frоm a dіѕеаѕе аnd needed blооd from her fіvе-уеаr-оld brоthеr, who hаd miraculously ѕurvіvеd thе ѕаmе disease аnd had dеvеlореd the аntіbоdіеѕ needed to соmbаt thе illness. Thе dосtоr explained thе situation to her lіttlе brоthеr and аѕkеd the bоу if he would bе wіllіng to gіvе his blооd tо his ѕіѕtеr. I ѕаw him hеѕіtаtе for оnlу a mоmеnt bеfоrе taking a dеер brеаth and ѕауіng,
“Yеѕ, I’ll dо іt іf іt wіll ѕаvе Liza.”
As the trаnѕfuѕіоn progressed, hе lау іn bеd next to his ѕіѕtеr and ѕmіlеd, as wе аll dіd, ѕееіng the color rеturnіng tо her сhееkѕ. Thеn hіѕ fасе grеw раlе and hіѕ smile fаdеd. He lооkеd uр аt the dосtоr and asked wіth a trembling vоісе, “Wіll I ѕtаrt tо dіе rіght away?” Being young, thе boy hаd mіѕundеrѕtооd thе dосtоr; hе thought hе wаѕ gоіng tо hаvе tо give hеr аll hіѕ blооd.
Nееd Bіblе verses fоr mоtіvаtіоn?
I dіd. Eѕресіаllу іn оnе аrеа оf mу life — еvаngеlіѕm.
I had lots of еxсuѕеѕ: I’m аn іntrоvеrt — I’m tired — I’m buѕу.
But I knew mу еxсuѕеѕ didn’t hold up — because Jеѕuѕ hаd саllеd me tо mаkе dіѕсірlеѕ (Mаtt 28:18-20).
I’m nоt аlоnе
I wоuld guess thаt wе аll hаvе areas іn whісh wе lасk mоtіvаtіоn.
Fоr me іt wаѕ evangelism. Maybe for уоu, іt’ѕ rеаdіng Gоd’ѕ Wоrd, оr рrауіng, оr gіvіng tо the рооr, or bеіng part оf a сhurсh соmmunіtу.
Whаt саn wе dо?
Years аgо I wоuld have trіеd harder — put ѕоmеthіng on mу schedule, аѕk ѕоmеоnе tо hold me accountable — juѕt dо іt. But when trіеd thаt, mу оbеdіеnсе wаѕn’t hеаrtfеlt аnd didn’t last.
But there’s gооd news. Gоd dоеѕ not ѕау оbеdіеnсе comes frоm trуіng hаrdеr. Gоd ѕауѕ obedience comes frоm fаіth (Rоm 1:5; Rоm 16:26; Hеb 11:8).

Thіѕ means thаt when I’m nоt motivated thеrе’ѕ ѕоmеthіng wrong wіth mу fаіth — there аrе рrоmіѕеѕ іn Gоd’ѕ Wоrd thаt I’m nоt truѕtіng.
Sо to grоw in mоtіvаtіоn wе nееd tо fіnd vеrѕеѕ іn thе Bіblе thаt соntаіn these рrоmіѕеѕ.
Thеn wе need to рrау оvеr thоѕе promises, thіnkіng dеерlу about thеm, until we feel thе Holy Spirit ѕtrеngthеnіng оur fаіth аnd сhаngіng our hеаrtѕ tо wе wаnt tо оbеу.
Sо here’s hоw Gоd mоtіvаtеd me соnсеrnіng еvаngеlіѕm.
I came to Jesus аѕ I wаѕ, соnfеѕѕіng my dіѕоbеdіеnсе, аnd trusting Hіm tо fоrgіvе аnd change mе.
I repented оf my dіѕоbеdіеnсе before Hіm. I tоld Him I lacked mоtіvаtіоn, and thаt I wаntеd tо сhаngе. I аѕkеd Him to сhаngе mе. I truѕtеd His dеаth tо fоrgіvе my ѕіn (1Jо 1:9), аnd Hіѕ роwеr tо сhаngе mу heart (Luk 18:27).
I truѕtеd thаt through faith аlоnе in Chrіѕt alone I wаѕ fully loved, saved, аnd ѕесurеd fоrеvеr.
This іѕ сruсіаl: I dіd nоt need to go out аnd evangelize fіrѕt іn оrdеr tо be fullу lоvеd, ѕаvеd, аnd ѕесurеd. I am ѕаvеd bу fаіth аlоnе іn Christ alone (Luk 18:13-14; Rоm 4:5).
Thе moment I lооk tо Jesus аnd trust Hіm as Sаvіоr, Lоrd, аnd Trеаѕurе, I саn bе assured thаt I аm fоrgіvеn (Mark 2:5), сlоthеd wіth Jеѕuѕ’ реrfесt rіghtеоuѕnеѕѕ (2Cоr 5:21), аnd thаt fоrеvеr Gоd is rejoicing tо do mе gооd (Jеr 32:40-41). Thіѕ is thе launching раd fоr thе rосkеt оf оbеdіеnсе. But thе rocket nееdѕ powerful fuеl — God’s promises.
I found рrоmіѕеѕ іn God’s Wоrd thаt motivate evangelism.
Thеrе’ѕ a bunch.
In Mаrk 1:17 Jеѕuѕ рrоmіѕеѕ that іf we wіll follow Hіm, thеn Hе will mаkе uѕ become fishers оf men. Nоtісе who does what: оur job іѕ to fоllоw Jеѕuѕ; His jоb іѕ tо make uѕ into fishers of mеn.
That hеlреd оvеrсоmе my fеаr of failure.
In 1Cоr 9:22-23 Pаul says that when wе share thе Gospel and some are saved, wе wіll share wіth thеm іn its blеѕѕіngѕ — which means their jоу in Christ wіll give uѕ, еvеn mоrе, jоу іn Chrіѕt.
I want more jоу in Christ — so that fired-up mу motivation.
In Mаrk 4:20 Jеѕuѕ promises thаt every bеlіеvеr wіll рrоduсе ѕоmе аmоunt оf hаrvеѕt. Whісh means Gоd will uѕе mу еffоrtѕ to brіng ѕоmе lost people to Chrіѕt.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF: It is imperative that you have the ability to motivate your self, or encourage yourself when you cannot call on any one else. Whether it is through scriptures,  prayer, a message your pastor preached, or simply knowing God’s word is true. That you can stand on God’s word. That’s the maturity in Christ Jesus we as Christians need.

Scriptures To Help With Prayer Language

Scriptures To Help With Your Prayer Language

14 1-3 Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it—because it does. Give yourselves to the gifts God gives you. Most of all, try to proclaim his truth. If you praise him in the private language of tongues, God understands you but no one else does, for you are sharing intimacies just between you and him. But when you proclaim his truth in everyday speech, you’re letting others in on the truth so that they can grow and be strong and experience his presence with you.

4-5 The one who prays using a private “prayer language” certainly gets a lot out of it, but proclaiming God’s truth to the church in its common language brings the whole church into growth and strength. I want all of you to develop intimacies with God in prayer, but please don’t stop with that. Go on and proclaim his clear truth to others. It’s more important that everyone have access to the knowledge and love of God in language everyone understands than that you go off and cultivate God’s presence in a mysterious prayer language—unless, of course, there is someone who can interpret what you are saying for the benefit of all.

6-8 Think, friends: If I come to you and all I do is pray privately to God in a way only he can understand, what are you going to get out of that? If I don’t address you plainly with some insight or truth or proclamation or teaching, what help am I to you? If musical instruments—flutes, say, or harps—aren’t played so that each note is distinct and in tune, how will anyone be able to catch the melody and enjoy the music? If the trumpet call can’t be distinguished, will anyone show up for the battle?

9-12 So if you speak in a way no one can understand, what’s the point of opening your mouth? There are many languages in the world and they all mean something to someone. But if I don’t understand the language, it’s not going to do me much good. It’s no different with you. Since you’re so eager to participate in what God is doing, why don’t you concentrate on doing what helps everyone in the church?

13-17 So, when you pray in your private prayer language, don’t hoard the experience for yourself. Pray for the insight and ability to bring others into that intimacy. If I pray in tongues, my spirit prays but my mind lies fallow, and all that intelligence is wasted. So what’s the solution? The answer is simple enough. Do both. I should be spiritually free and expressive as I pray, but I should also be thoughtful and mindful as I pray. I should sing with my spirit, and sing with my mind. If you give a blessing using your private prayer language, which no one else understands, how can some outsider who has just shown up and has no idea what’s going on know when to say “Amen”? Your blessing might be beautiful, but you have very effectively cut that person out of it.

18-19 I’m grateful to God for the gift of praying in tongues that he gives us for praising him, which leads to wonderful intimacies we enjoy with him. I enter into this as much or more than any of you. But when I’m in a church assembled for worship, I’d rather say five words that everyone can understand and learn from than say ten thousand that sound to others like gibberish.

20-25 To be perfectly frank, I’m getting exasperated with your infantile thinking. How long before you grow up and use your head—your adult head? It’s all right to have a childlike unfamiliarity with evil; a simple no is all that’s needed there. But there’s far more to saying yes to something. Only mature and well-exercised intelligence can save you from falling into gullibility. It’s written in Scripture that God said

Note; This young lady on Facebook gave me these scriptures to help me concerning Prayer Language, Thank you Stacey McDaniel for this much needed information. Note that this information will help many.

Nobody Greater

There is nobody greater than the Lord, after searching high and low you will never find anybody that exceeds the greatness of God. Our thanks to God for being omnipresent. Wherever I am, there you are also. You allow me to see that you are present and there for each and every need I have. Here in this song you will see the depths to which one searches for our heavenly father.

In my search for you, in my search for something greater than myself, greater than mere man, you are there. In times of trouble and life has me down, I can turn to you.

Nobody can begin to compare to you and all that you are. You are greater than any trial or tribulation, any situation I endure on a daily basis. In this song it speaks about searching all over, near and far, high and low, but still couldn’t find nobody greater than you.

Often times we are in need of something greater than ourselves, but cannot find fulfillment to satisfy that deep longing within. A longing that only God himself can fill. We fail to realize that Jesus is the only one that can love us, or fill the void, or even soothe the soul. We continue to search endlessly until we come to the realization that there is nobody greater than God.

Vashaun Mitchell sings this wonderfully written song expressing our need for God, acknowledging that there isn’t one single entity that is greater than the Lord. The melodies of this song captures the attention of one’s heart expressing how God is desired more than anything in this world.

Encourage yourself: When I seek God and all His greatness, I now know that God is an ever present help in the time of trouble.

The different names of God, Adonai as a power ruler

Adonai has a similar context and refers to God as a powerful ruler. Similarly, El Shaddai, derived from “shad” i.e. Lord, also points to the power of God. Yahweh is the principal name in the Old Testament by which God reveals himself and is the most sacred, distinctive and incommunicable name of God.

EL, ELOAH [el, el-oh-ah]: God “mighty, strong, prominent” (Nehemiah 9:17; Psalm 139:19) – etymologically, Elappears to mean “power” and “might” (Genesis 31:29). El is associated with other qualities, such as integrity (Numbers 23:19), jealousy (Deuteronomy 5:9), and compassion (Nehemiah 9:31), but the root idea of “might” remains.

ELOHIM [el-oh-heem]: God “Creator, Mighty and Strong” (Genesis 17:7; Jeremiah 31:33) – the plural form ofEloah, which accommodates the doctrine of the Trinity. From the Bible’s first sentence, the superlative nature of God’s power is evident as God (Elohim) speaks the world into existence (Genesis 1:1).

EL SHADDAI [el-shah-dahy]: “God Almighty,” “The Mighty One of Jacob” (Genesis 49:24; Psalm 132:2,5) – speaks to God’s ultimate power over all.

ADONAI [ˌædɒˈnaɪ; ah-daw-nahy]: “Lord” (Genesis 15:2; Judges 6:15) – used in place of YHWH, which was thought by the Jews to be too sacred to be uttered by sinful men. In the Old Testament, YHWH is more often used in God’s dealings with His people, while Adonai is used more when He deals with the Gentiles.

YHWH / YAHWEH / JEHOVAH [yah-way / ji-hoh-veh]: “LORD” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Daniel 9:14) – strictly speaking, the only proper name for God. Translated in English Bibles “LORD” (all capitals) to distinguish it from Adonai, “Lord.” The revelation of the name is given to Moses “I Am who I Am” (Exodus 3:14). This name specifies an immediacy, a presence. Yahweh is present, accessible, near to those who call on Him for deliverance (Psalm 107:13), forgiveness (Psalm 25:11) and guidance (Psalm 31:3).

YAHWEH-JIREH [yah-way-ji-reh]: “The Lord Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14) – the name memorialized by Abraham when God provided the ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac.

YAHWEH-RAPHA [yah-way-raw-faw]: “The Lord Who Heals” (Exodus 15:26) – “I am Jehovah who heals you” both in body and soul. In body, by preserving from and curing diseases, and in soul, by pardoning iniquities.

YAHWEH-NISSI [yah-way-nee-see]: “The Lord Our Banner” (Exodus 17:15), where banner is understood to be a rallying place. This name commemorates the desert victory over the Amalekites in Exodus 17.

YAHWEH-M’KADDESH [yah-way-meh-kad-esh]: “The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy” (Leviticus 20:8; Ezekiel 37:28) – God makes it clear that He alone, not the law, can cleanse His people and make them holy.

YAHWEH-SHALOM [yah-way-shah-lohm]: “The Lord Our Peace” (Judges 6:24) – the name given by Gideon to the altar he built after the Angel of the Lord assured him he would not die as he thought he would after seeing Him.

YAHWEH-ELOHIM [yah-way-el-oh-him]: “LORD God” (Genesis 2:4; Psalm 59:5) – a combination of God’s unique name YHWH and the generic “Lord,” signifying that He is the Lord of Lords.

YAHWEH-TSIDKENU [yah-way-tzid-kay-noo]: “The Lord Our Righteousness” (Jeremiah 33:16) – As with YHWH-M’Kaddesh, it is God alone who provides righteousness (from the Hebrew word tsidkenu) to man, ultimately in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, who became sin for us “that we might become the Righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

YAHWEH-ROHI [yah-way-roh-hee]: “The Lord Our Shepherd” (Psalm 23:1) – After David pondered his relationship as a shepherd to his sheep, he realized that was exactly the relationship God had with him, and so he declares, “Yahweh-Rohi is my Shepherd. I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

YAHWEH-SHAMMAH [yah-way-sham-mahw]: “The Lord Is There” (Ezekiel 48:35) – the name ascribed to Jerusalem and the Temple there, indicating that the once-departed glory of the Lord (Ezekiel 8—11) had returned (Ezekiel 44:1-4).

YAHWEH-SABAOTH [yah-way-sah-bah-ohth]: “The Lord of Hosts” (Isaiah 1:24; Psalm 46:7) – Hosts means “hordes,” both of angels and of men. He is Lord of the host of heaven and of the inhabitants of the earth, of Jews and Gentiles, of rich and poor, master and slave. The name is expressive of the majesty, power, and authority of God and shows that He is able to accomplish what He determines to do.

EL ELYON [el-el-yohn]: “Most High” (Deuteronomy 26:19) – derived from the Hebrew root for “go up” or “ascend,” so the implication is of that which is the very highest. El Elyon denotes exaltation and speaks of absolute right to lordship.

EL ROI [el-roh-ee]: “God of Seeing” (Genesis 16:13) – the name ascribed to God by Hagar, alone and desperate in the wilderness after being driven out by Sarah (Genesis 16:1-14). When Hagar met the Angel of the Lord, she realized she had seen God Himself in a theophany. She also realized that El Roi saw her in her distress and testified that He is a God who lives and sees all.

EL-OLAM [el-oh-lahm]: “Everlasting God” (Psalm 90:1-3) – God’s nature is without beginning or end, free from all constraints of time, and He contains within Himself the very cause of time itself. “From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”

EL-GIBHOR [el-ghee-bohr]: “Mighty God” (Isaiah 9:6) – the name describing the Messiah, Christ Jesus, in this prophetic portion of Isaiah. As a powerful and mighty warrior, the Messiah, the Mighty God, will accomplish the destruction of God’s enemies and rule with a rod of iron (Revelation 19:15).

I love to call out the different names of God, in my personal most intimate moments of worshiping. I know He hears my cry. I let Him know how much I love him, and without Him nothing is possible. That there is nobody  greater than Him.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF: Take time to worship God everyday, before going to work, when you are in the shower, just take a moment for yourself throughout the course of the day, for you and God. You will love that you did.

Is it well with your soul, that’s the ultimate question?

With your hands lifted up, and your heart filled with praise. Sunday morning worship service is in progress. Instead of you truly worshiping,  your mind wonders, what if a gunman comes into the church during worship service?  Are you safe? Does your church have armed security? Should security even have guns at church? What if security itself becomes a problem? The ultimate question is, is it well with your soul? Meaning will you be ready when Jesus come back?

No man knows the day or hour as to when his day here on earth, is his last. It is a fact that we are not safe anywhere. The scriptures tells us to be ready at all times, for this particular reason. We should be ready for the coming of the Lord. It has been said  that when  a person passes; that is the coming of the Lord for that particular person. Now whether this is true or not, it does make sense. Note that I didnt say the Second Coming of the Lord; which will be accompanied with Fire.

The Second Coming Of The Lord 2 Peter 3:9-11

9) The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 10) But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be dissolved in the fire, and the earth and its works will not be found. 11) Since everything will be dissolved in this way, what kind of people shall you to be?  You shall to conduct yourselves in holiness and godliness.

The Bible is fulfilling it self in matters such as, men being lovers of themselves,  wars and rumors of wars, and earthquakes in divers places. The scriptures are unfolding as we speak.  Luke 21:11 says
Then He told them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11) There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, along with fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12) But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. On account of My name, they will deliver you to the synagogues and prisons, and they will bring you before kings and governors.

According to 1 Peter 3:14; But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.

This is the hope and promise of God. The assurance that even in the face of danger, we still have the hope of going to heaven. The circumstances might not be as we would wish; but there might come a time when we might be faced with such evilness. So I will ask again is it well with your soul?

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. (1 Peter 4:12)

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. (Hebrews 12:3)

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF: But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. When you can earnestly pray for your enemies, you have matured. Pray without ceasing.

What Is Hindu Religion

The practices of Hindu Religion

Hinduism is considered to be the third largest religion after Christianity and Islam with about
1 billion estimated Hindus worldwide. A huge population of Indians (about 80%) practices
Hinduism, while over 30 million or more Hindus live outside India.

Hinduism is highly concentrated in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka which have been a hot spot for
its culture since the immemorial. The major belief is that there is only one almighty being who
exists in everything and he is credited with the creation of reality. In Hinduism, Brahman is
regarded as the highest principle and the Ultimate Reality in the universe.

There are no exact dates or details about the origin of Hinduism. The Vedas is the oldest text
pertaining to Hindu which has an estimated timing around 1500 BCE. Aside from that, most of
the authors and dates of its sacred texts are unknown. The Shastras is a collection of Hindu
scriptures. It entails spiritual laws that were discovered by sages and saints in the course of
its history. These sacred writings are divided into two (2) major parts which are the Shruti
(heard) and Smriti (memorized). Before these sacred texts were provided in plain forms, they
were orally passed from one generation to the other mostly in the Sanskrit language. The
Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and the epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata are the most
popular of the Hindu texts.

Hinduism is a broad term based on its wide variety of related traditions that share common
themes even when they do not entail the same practices or beliefs. Despite the fact that most
Hindus recognize the existence of Brahman as the unifying principle, a fraction of the Hindus
are devoted to Shiva or Vinshu (whom they regard as the only true God) while others look
inward to atman (divine self).

A core aspect of Hinduism is the four Purusarthas (goals of human life) which are Dharma
(ethics and duties), Artha (work and prosperity), Kama (passion and desires), and Moksha
(liberation from the cycle of samsara). Amongst these beliefs, Dharma is considered to be the
most important as it leads to fulfilling all principles to the end (Moksha). If a Hindus fail to
fulfill Dharma, it would be impossible to go through other philosophies and attain Moksha at
the end.

Hindu festivals are based on the cycles of the sun and moon. The Hindu calendar has 12 months
just like the Gregorian calendar which marks certain dates for its festivals. Most Hindu festive
periods are for the celebration of the Hindu deities. Others are meant for celebrating various
aspects of life that are important to Hindus. Raksha Bandhan, for instance, is a festive season
for family bonding. It’s a festive period for the celebration of siblings where siblings.
